I did a 10 day smoothie detox, where I had smoothies in place of breakfast and lunch and had a normal meal for dinner.
I did this for the following reasons;
- To detoxify especially from processed foods and remove anything clogging my gut
- To improve my skin , somehow there is always at least one pimple living on skin at any given time and as someone who has suffered from severe acne I know that pimples usually just mean something inside is not right.
- To lose some weight , but this didn’t really happen, But it did jumpstart my clean eating diet. I must say first 3 days are really hard and that is proof of my body being addicted to chemicals and sugar. I have been able to stay completely off sugar since then which has made me realize it really is an unnecessary thing we consume.
- To feel better which I did. Somehow after day 3 you actually get more energy despite only taking smoothies during the day.
So here are 10 smoothies for 10 days. Hope you try and enjoy as most are tasty.
MANGO TURMERIC GREEN SMOOTHIE
- Mango
- Spinach (or other greens)
- Turmeric powder
- water to make it smooth
AVOCADO GREEN SMOOTHIE
- Avocado
- Spinach
- Mango
- Water
AVOCADO CANTALOUPE SMOOTHIE
- Avocado
- Cantaloupe
- Greens
- water
Grapefruit + Apple juice
MANGO GREEN SMOOTHIE
- Mango
- spinach
- Apple
- orange
- Some water to make it smooth
BEETROOT APPLE & GINGER
- Beetroot
- Apple
- Ginger
- Water
- Pawpaw
- Orange
- Turmeric powder
PINEAPPLE GREEN SMOOTHIE
- Pineapple
- Banana
- Spinach/Kale
- Soy milk
GRAPEFRUIT GREEN SMOOTHIE
- Grapefruit
- Apple
- Spinach
- Banana
- Milk
DRAGON FRUIT SMOOTHIE
- Dragonfruit
- Banana
- Water/Milk (depending on whether you want creamy or not)
