  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the beef tongue under cold water and place it in a large pot.
  2. Add onions, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns, and salt to the pot.
  3. Cover the tongue and vegetables with water, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  4. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 3-4 hours, or until the tongue is tender.
  5. Once cooked, remove the tongue from the pot and allow it to cool slightly.
  6. Peel off the tough outer layer of skin from the tongue and discard.
  7. Slice the tongue thinly and serve with the cooked vegetables, garnished with fresh parsley.
