Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh pink wild rose petals
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and additional rose petals for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the pink wild rose petals under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved to make a simple syrup.
  3. Remove the simple syrup from the heat and add the rose petals. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then strain out the rose petals and discard them.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, cold water, and the rose-infused simple syrup. Stir well to combine.
  5. Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 1 hour to chill.
  6. Serve the pink wild rose petal lemonade over ice cubes, garnished with lemon slices and additional rose petals if desired.

Notes

  • Make sure to use pesticide-free rose petals sourced from a trusted location.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the lemonade by adding more or less simple syrup to taste.
