Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher), finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder, for coating

Instructions

  • In a heatproof bowl, place the finely chopped dark chocolate.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  • Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for a minute to melt the chocolate.
  • Add the unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the chocolate mixture. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the mixture is firm enough to handle.
  • Once chilled, use a spoon to scoop out small portions of the chocolate mixture and roll them into clumps.
  • Roll each clump in cocoa powder to coat evenly.
  • Place the dark chocolate truffle clumps on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

These dark chocolate truffle clumps can be customized by rolling them in chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or powdered sugar for added flavor and texture. Experiment with different coatings to suit your taste preferences.
